Horse or Man
I need answers to this question. If there was a 100 yard race, 50 there and 50 back and a man raced a horse. who would win?

The turn for the way back would do it - it would take the horse too long to turn around 180 degrees and accelerate. So I would pick human. Not me, but a fast one.

Agreed...also you can use this video for reference... <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5OoF7Y3BsSA"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5OoF7Y3BsSA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> As you can see, the man doesn't finish too far behind...add in the turn and the man wins. Granted, a racehorse is probably a good bit faster than a zebra, but not THAT much faster.

I think its the horse. You're right about the turn around but horses are so much faster. What if the man is ozzie? This video is of a giraffe not a zebra. A thoroughbread is faster.

What about a Zebra/Giraffe? Mike, you didn't watch the whole video. The video proves that the zebra is faster than a giraffe and a human and Ozzie. If you need more evidence that Zebras are faster than Giraffes, here is another win for the Zebras: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fLXELCqCf00"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fLXELCqCf00" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Hope this helps with your book report...

what about my video showing the man and horse, screw the zebra thing

MikeD- 05-23-2007

A better question would be who would win in the Human Catapult between a monkey and Malibu. What is this for? You making money on all this research we're doing?
