In an effort to make use of every gimmick our digital camera has to offer, I have decided to make today ANIMATION DAY. Using the sports feature on the camera which takes 16 pictures in a couple seconds, I have painstakingly separated each set into 16 individual pictures, then using an apparently crappy program, turned them into an animated .gif file. I call it a crappy program because the animation looks pretty crappy and has that weird thing at the bottom of it going on(
EDIT: I fixed that. The quality's still not great). It's probably a combination of me not knowing what I'm doing, the camera feature not really being that well done, and the program being crappy. AT ANY RATE I hope you guys enjoy the first animations. They're kinda big at like 700kb or something, it might take a while to load for dialup users.
EDIT: I figured out how to do it right, unfortunately it's now about 1.6 megs instead of 700kb.

EDIT2: I downed the size/quality on these next ones, so they'll be smaller, about 700kb again. If this page loads way too slowly for anybody, tell me, and I can turn them into clickable links rather than embedded in the post. But anybody with broadband should be ok I think.

More to come, probably, but I hope I find a less tedious way of doing these(I did, but size and quality are still issues). I'll have a few more up tomorrow or the day after.

I was going to put up some stills too, and I guess I still will, but all of them were on the 16 picture sports setting, so the quality isn't going to be as good on these stills as it was on the pictures of previous games. This was just an experiment, so next time I'm probably going to be taking more regular pics, but probably a few more of these as well. Hopefully the timing of my hitting will be better than the timing of my picture taking :D (I seem to have a bunch of these animations where the last frame is just as the batter makes contact).
Oh yeah, and guys, if I do this again, you're gonna have to take slower swings. Otherwise the camera can't keep up! (Just kidding, of course... in fact, if you see an animation of you that looks really smooth, you should probably quicken your swing :D )
