I am happy to inform you that the NYCMBL has brokered agreements with The Striker Bat Co, and MaxBats, to get bats and other equipment at discounted prices. Both companies produce high quality bats that are used by and pro's at every level of baseball. Most notably, Albert Pujols and Brian Roberts use MaxBats and Chris Nelson of the Rockies uses Striker. The deals are as follows: MaxBats prices on their maple bats range from $70 -$90 a bat. MaxBats has agreed to give NYCMBL teams the discounted price of $52.00 per bat, for any bat in their line. The $52.00 includes whatever color of bat you would like, and personalization (your name on the bat.) For a one time $15 fee, they will take your signature, put it in their computer system, and you can have your bat personalized with your signature for basically the rest of your life. If 18 bats are ordered by a team, MaxBat will also throw in a hanging bat bag for storage of your bats either in your dugouts or off the field. MaxBats will also duplicate any bat made by any other brand to the exact specifications of that bat. For example, if you use the Demarini Pro Maple 110 Wood Bat which costs about $129 per bat, MaxBat will make that exact bat for you, whatever color you like, for $52 per bat, personalized. Louisville Slugger M9 bats cost about $90 per bat, MaxBat will replicate that bat for you for $52 per bat (if you choose to have them duplicate another brand's bat, you must order at least a minimum of 6 bats.) If 2 or 3 guys on your team like to use the same bat, each guy orders 2 or 3 of that bat, you have the 6 right there needed for them to make that specific bat for you. In order to get this deal, the league must order a minimum of 4 dozen bats. Considering there will be 20 teams in the league this year, I really dont see that being an issue. Please note, turn around time on orders is about 2-3 weeks. 3 weeks minimum on customized bat orders. Striker Bat Co. has agreed to give NYCMBL players the price of $45 per bat, for their Pro Cut Series which normally costs $75 a bat, and their Pro Maple Series which go for $79.95 a bat. They have also agreed to do uniforms for teams at $70 per uniform. That includes the following : Micro-mesh full button down jerseys, 2 color tone tackle-twill lettering in the front and number on the back, white or grey pants with whatever color piping of your choosing down each leg, and a fitted flex-fit hat with your logo embroidered on the hat. All the bat specials above are for MAPLE BATS. NOT ASH! To see both companies line of bats and other products, you can visit their websites : www.strikerbats.com and www.maxbats.com Also note, that the NYCMBL will also be receiving further details from NABA regarding Diamond sports equipment packages being offered to all NABA affiliated teams. Further details will be released once the league hears anything more. If you do plan to take advantage of this deals being offered by either of these companies, please get together with your teams, figure out what and how much you would like to order, and the league will handle the rest. As always, the NYCMBL will continue to do its best to make playing baseball (which can get expensive) as inexpensive as possible. Thanks
