Attendance thread for Practice, Wed., Cages, Th/Fri, +Game
I'm all revved up so I figured I'd post a thread to be ahead of the game. We're doing some sort of practice this wednesday. Where, I dont know. I still vote for Central Park (plenty of fields available last time. There's one baseball diamond that I don't think anyone has a permit for (never seen any real games there) that we should be able to easily commandeer if MORE THAN 3 PEOPLE show up). Of course I also don't really want to go all the way down to Brooklyn. I think this is the way everybody picked where they want to practice so I don't feel bad. Bunch of selfish bastards, the lot of you. And me. EDIT: Central Park won apparently and we will be having practice at the 96th street fields. Apologies to Brooklyn people. If all goes to plan, our practice session should look like this: That's the way they do it in Japan, kids. Sadaharu Oh learned to hit from his karate sensei, seriously. Probably has some samurai/ninja blood in him, too, and you know if they can swing a sword they can swing a bat. So, the 96th street fields, on May 10th, at around 4:30 if you can make it then, if not whenever you get off work. Let's get some people out there, we need practice and we need more than 5 people to show up! Also post here if you're coming to the CAGES on Thursday AND Friday at the Tribeca Cages (or possibly Astoria cages on Friday, depending on how the Tribeca ones work out) and if your'e going to the GAME on SATURDAY May 15th at COLONEL CHARLES YOUNG FIELD at 145th street. Practice. Cages. Game. POST to say which one(s) you're going to (it should be all of them!)

Also, Sadaharu Oh considered baseball a martial art. After his first season (in which his average was well under the Mendoza Line) he looked to a Samurai master who helped him develop his trademark flamingo batting stance (balancing on one foot). http://www.baseball-reference.com/bullpen/Sadaharu_Oh As for practice Wednesday, we're going to try Central Park again, based on a few times last week when our scouts saw open fields. Me, Mike N, Pete and Andrew had a field on Friday too at around 5:30. If we get there earlier, and enough people come, it should resemble the Ninja practice. Oh yeah.. I will be at practice Wednesday, cages Thursday, and the Game Saturday.

Simon says that the Tribeca cages are closed during the week for now, so the cage sessions will be only in Astoria this week. Also, I can't make it Friday. But Me, Pete and Steve are going today (Tues) at 5:30-6:30.

Pete, Steve and I had a good session at Astoria Tuesday. If the 3 of us do anything less than 4 for 4, I'll be surprised. btw, I now can't make it Thursday or Friday. But I'll be at practice tomorrow.
