6/29/05 - League News & Schedule Changes
First, I'd like to give my condolences to The New York Celtic. They had to fold after struggling to fill the roster all season. Playing with them last year is what inspired me to start The Beers this year. So good luck to all of them, and we hope to see them again next season. This means that there will be a few major changes in the league. First, the schedule is being revised. I will let everyone know when the new schedule is released (also, keep an eye on the league's website: www.zonesportsleagues.com/nybaseball.html). Second, and more importantly, it means that the only winless team besides us is now the New York Mad Dogs (0-4). Which brings us to our next news item........ Next Game: There will be only one winless team after Sunday because we are playing the Mad Dogs this Sunday (7/3) at 10:00 AM in Harlem. This is definately a decent chance to get our first win. Some of you will remember us beating the Mad Dogs in the preseason.
